Yarn needed

Hi everyone, we are in need of some specific yarn donations for our mission team to take with them to Kenya. One of the ladies on the team is teaching the women there to make a specific item with knitting looms, that will be made as souvenirs for the Mission gift shop.We need the yarn by 15 June so the team can pack. The list is short but as much yarn as possible would be great.

Jacob's House

8 quilts were made for Jacob's house at the last workday May, 4. Jacob's House is one of the homes that provide transitional housing for women and children. They are getting ready to fill up the house with ladies & their children. These ladies & kiddos will arrive to find beautiful quilts on their beds to welcome them to a fresh start and a new beginning of healing.

Spring Tea

In April we had a tea and launched the project for Chile. We will be making crochet and knitted scarves to send with the Eastside team.

      

Eastside Nursery

As we fill needs for our missions we are also delighted to meet needs at our church. The nursery needed nursery quilts, receiving blankets, burp cloths and boo-boo bags. These are some of the quilts that were made for the nursery.

Workday - Nov 2011

Wonderful times - getting together to work on various projects, laugh and catch up with each other. We get to meet new people. Most of all we share a bond in sharing in Gods' work by using the talents we He has given us to bless people all over. It is a wonderful opportunity.

Work day

We have been able to Crochet, Knit and Quilt. Share our skills with others, and spend time getting to know each other and build community. Other times we get to count and pack items to be delivered.

One of the talented ladies in our Borderless Threads group made these shirts for the boys in Haiti.

Africa

Some of the past projects have included scarves, hats and sweaters for kids in Africa. These kids are sponsored and so are able to attend school in Kenya.
